Great question: The best doc for a woman (or man) is one who is knowledgeable and caring. The pcp visit is often spent reviewing your health history, getting a physical exam, and blood work as well. A pcp can do a pelvic/breast exam and pap smear (like a gyn does). Some women have both a pcp and gyn. More than anything, you want to know that you can bond well with the doc and staff.
