Hello --59 yr old male in good condition has inguinal hernia rt side. Has history of testicle torsion age 40. Doctor says leave hernia alone ???
Wrong advise: as far as I know if you have a symptomatic inguinal hernia it needs to be repaired .the fact that you had a history of torsion it does not change that fact. I watched last week a sick 70 years old with a strangulated hernia die because surgery was too risky. my believe if you are healthy enough to have an elective surgery have it before it becomes life threatening and kill you. ask for 2 opinion. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

New dr did not perform testicular or prostate exam during physical but prior dr always did. I'm 44 should prostate and testicular be part of physical?
Docs Vary: It is hard to judge the quality of practice of a doctor based what they examine on a single visit. If you like them ask for the exams you would like without judgement. It is perfectly reasonable for you to want your prostate and testicles examined. Perhaps a patient strenuously objected to the offer. It takes getting used to a new doc, but you should begin 2 really trust them soon or switch. ...Read more
