Why do male gynecologists pretend they understand my pain? "you'll feel 'pressure'" "i know it hurts" what's the point in lying? It makes me angrier.
Pain: Doctors take care of thousands of patients in their careers. They learn to recognize and anticipate the patient's symptoms and responses. They aren't lying any more than a female gynecologist who's never had a baby can tell you it will hurt. Good question: Its like your doing all these rotations, some are cool and some really boring. Delivering babies was and is a blast. You get to relieve problems surgically as well so we operate a lot. That depends on u: If u are uncomfortable with a man u can go to a woman gyn, most men and women try to do a non painful exam , but sometimes it may be a little uncomfortable due to your vaginal size or a problem u are having, there have been no studies done saying that either men or women do less painful exams, if u go to a male gyn he will have a female assistant in room during the exam and a female should also. ...Read more
