IBS: It's very rare to have the diagnosis of IBS at such a young age? Have you been worked up for celiac disease, autoimmune conditions, obtained an EGD and colonoscopy with biopsy to assess if it's IBD which includes chron's and ulcerative colitis? Wrong splint?: If you are wearing the splint and you are getting popping or cracking noises in the wrist, then it is not likely immobilizing the wrist and not helping. Also, carpal tunnel doesn't cause popping or cracking in the wrist. Couple things: One of the major causes of this would be osteoarthritis. Is it painful? I would recommend seeing your doc to for a physical exam, possible pt if it is painful, as well as shoulder exercises.
