Few Days: First of all, I am not sure if it is a first degree sunburn if there is so much swelling. Typically the presence of swelling and/or blisters means you got a 2nd degree burn. With treatment, it should start receding within a few days. Apply cold compresses to the swelling, take some Ibuprofen every 6 hours for pain and inflammation, and try 1% Hydrocortisone cream on the burn. Aloe vera gel helps. ...Read more
