2nd opinion needed: If you are having the rectal pain with need to poop, and have not gotten any solid answers, it time to consult your pcp doctor, who can refer you to a proctologist, who can measure the pressure of your rectal sphincter to see if it's working or not. What?: Why did you take a medication not knowing what it does/is for? Magcitrate treats constipation. It usually is "effective" within 6 hrs, if going to see results.
