I recommend everyone take 500-2000 mg of Vit C twice a day and if you have an acid problem it's wise to take a buffered form like calcium ascorbate. You should not have any difficulty tolerating this.

Not exactly the same: Sodium ascorbate is one of the mineral salts contained in ascorbic acid/vitamin C. It does not seem to be more bioavailable (available for use by the body) than other forms of vitamin C supplementation. There is also the down side that it contains sodium.
