Desitin + Maalox: My favorite gentle treatment for most diaper rashes is the mixture of desitin (zinc oxide paste) and maalox liquid. Put an inch of desitin cream (do not use the "creamy" type) in your palm. Add 1 capfull of maalox liquid to it and mix together for a few minutes. Bloody diaper rash : Does not necessarily mean food allergy. Commonly it is from sensitive skin, constant irritation from wet and dirty diapers, loose or diarrheal stools. Too much acid. Best thing to do is neutralize acid with an antacid like maalox applied to the diaper areas where it is excoriated and raw. You will see amazing results. That is possible : stools expected to change w/formula change until your baby's intestine adjusts to new formula. Greenish yellow seedy stools are a normal stool color for babies. There are many. Is the baby excessively fussy /gassy. If not, give it a bit longer to see how your baby is adjusting.
