Ankle instability: Lots of options for ankle instability. There are more aggressive ankle stabilization surgeries if you choose to redo it. Bracing is always an option of course, physical therapy for strengthening. In my opinion you should seek repair with some Ossetia or bony component/ tendon transfer or ligament reconstruction. You may just have the sensation of your tongue getting smaller. The other possibility is that you've just "grown into" your current situation.
