Lymphoma And Itching Skin
Can I have lymphoma( hodgkin or non-hodgkin)? I have 2 lymph nodes in neck ( 12*6 and 12*7) mm, itching, hot skin but no fever.
Could you?: Yes you could, but you could also have lots of other reasons for those palpable nodes. Go see your doc and get a good evaluation. Hopefully is nothing of concern. ...Read more
Unlikely: Itching can be caused by many other conditions. Lymphomas cause swollen lymph nodes first, then anything else later. If the itching persists, you need a doctor to examine you and find out the cause. ...Read more
My whole body has been itching every night for 6 days. I'm really confused. Could this be lymphoma?
Unlikely: See a doctor. Do you have hives too? There are allergic and immune conditions that can cause repeated itching, sometimes only at night like idiopathic nocturnal urticaria. After a biopsy you will often feel some itchiness, but otherwise a lymph node that feels itchy is not usual. Search for other sites of itchiness and if it is more general, consider allergies, infection, or other unrelated issues. ...Read more
I bet you don't: The first step in the workup for generalized itching is to change whatever you're using to wash your clothes. If this doesn't provide an answer, look at the distribution and your relation to other exposures, especially light. I trust your skin is normal and there's no evidence of ectoparasites. Hodgkin's is VERY low on the differential diagnosis without a mass / fever / wt loss / sweats. ...Read more
26/F. Healthy. Past 2 weeks body itching when overtired, NOT interrupting sleep. Not everyday. Also, sudden right knee pain. Chances of lymphoma?
Quite low: Before you activate anxiety symptoms it is a good idea to check into the status of what you already know you have - thyroid issues. See you provider for eval of your levels. Meanwhile, try to avoid situational reasons for being overly tired and consider a knee support cuff. It's good you think of yourself as healthy, but do check thyroid levels and basis for knee pain w/ a provider ASAP. Best! ...Read more
