Sounds: like you may have acquired HERPES infection (Sometimes Herpes virus attacks a less common mucous membrane) It is certainly a possibility that you might respond to an anti-herpes (anti-viral) medication. Not too much: We all have lymph nodes.Whether we can feel them or not depends on location and what's covering them. In the neck small lymph nodes are easy to feel in thin kids and adults. Slight enlargement, if the nodes are not painful, & with no other symptoms, are common in kids. Recheck in 1 week, if still there, see doc.
