Lymph nodes: The lymph nodes usually enlarge as response to an infection in the vicinity. It lasts maximum 2-3 weeks and as the infection goes away (with antibiotics usually) the lymph nodes disappear. Outside this scenario, I would be worried and demand further investigation (ct is appropriate, a blood smear and CBC with differential, as well as a bmp with enzymes markers analysis) up to an excision biopy. ...Read more

Lymph nodes under neck swollen especially I've noticed after the bath. I usually rub and wash hardly that area to keep clean while bathing. Any connec?
? how long?: Lymph nodes under your neck are not related to scrubbing hard during bathing. The nodes are regional screening agents that remove debris and germs from the serum and enlarge if something is creating this debris nearby. The neck glands handle serum from the throat and neck region and often enlarge after a throat infection. If enlarged for > 2-3 weeks or without an infection, I'd see your doc. ...Read more
I've had swollen lymph nodes and neck swelling for the years. Drs dint know why. Now I am having difficulty eating solids. What could this be?
Pinched Nerves: Swollen lymph nodes in the arm pit is a concern for a physician. It is possible there are two different pathologies or conditions going on here. From the picture, it looks like there is climbing which could explain shoulder blade pain radiating to the neck and might be a pinched nerve. It would be a stretch to equate a pinched nerve to swollen glands like this. I would see a doctor and soon. ...Read more
