Nearby, not in: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Severely painful pulsating mass just above belly button. Very painful pack of lymph nodes at right thigh/leg line that travels down my leg. Ty.
I have painful lymph nodes under my arms and right side of my abd & down inner upper thigh & under belly button. Not swollen. Petscan (-). What is it?
Good question: Are we sure the problem is lymph node? Most lymphomas would be "hot" on pet. An infection could be low grade positive too. Not swollen? Is there anything to biopsy? ...Read more
If I am thin can I feel an enlarged iliac lymph node? I feel a lump in abdomen in between belly button and hip bone. I do not feel it on other side.
No: Even if you are thin iliac nodes are not palpable. Too deep. Inguinal nodes can be easily palpated- that's in the groin. Also, there other causes for bumps in the belly. Depends which side and location. You could feel enlarged ovarian cyst if you are really skinny. Can feel your own colon on left side - especially if full of poop, and so on. ...Read more
3 doctor. No answers. 3ct, swollen abdomen lymph nodes, nausea, severe pain, 12.7 wbc, tender to touch, mostly right side of belly button, no appetite?
A detective game: Sorting oout abdominal pain where the labs or ct do not give an immediate answer is like a detective game. It requires a dialogue (in person or on line) between the patient and practitioner. And in the process sorting out modifying factors for the discomfort. So an in person visit with a gastroenterologist would be my recommendation. ...Read more

Is it possible to have 2 lymph nodes swell in abdomen and become Rock hard? Also can it stay that way, had for 1 year with no change
May or may not be!: Unless we know the size of the enlarged nodes, it is difficult to know what these nodes mean. You need to go see a specialist who can do further checking especially if you have any abdominal symptoms like pain, poor appetite, weight loss or fever. If you are well, you can wait and repeat the imaging study that showed these nodes in the first instance. A 2-3 month interval might show if they change. ...Read more

Enlarged lymph nodes: In the abdomen, was that on an imaging study or by physical exam? Complicated: Your doctor should follow up on this scan with you. Please see your doctor soon to discuss this. ...Read more
I had a CT scan that read I had a few shotty mesenteric lymph nodes in my right lower abdomen quadrant. All tests came back neg what could this be?
It is a: Non specific description of the lymph nodes. There are numerous conditions that could cause mildly enlarged lymph nodes. It also may be that they are normal for you. A more precise description of the lymph nodes, e.g. the size and number of them, might be more useful.
