mult possibilities: There are many possible causes of pain in the axilla (armpit). Could be from strenuous activity, leading to muscle strain in the region, or could be from trauma. Sometimes you may not even remember bumping yourself in that region. Additionally, should be from a hair that was cut incorrectly or a pimple or a bump there. They cannot be transmitted from person to person so the fact you both have them is not any consideration. If they cause you pain, discomfort or are unsightly, they are easy to remove.
