Most primary care docs will treat with antibiotics and then refer for a biopsy if no improvement within a couple weeks. LN/ tonsils: Where is the swelling? How did the thyroid look like on imaging? What are thyroid functions/antibodis? The LN could be from the tonsils. Are you having a sore throat? strep?mononucleosis? ear infection? allergies?
