Ixodes scapularis: You do need to make sure it wasn't a deer tick. They are very small..compared to dog ticks for example. Do you still have the tick or did you discard it? If you have it, bring it to your PCP. f there's any question that it could be a deer tick, I would treat with doxycycline just to make sure. ...Read more

Must treat: This is very suspicious for Lyme. About 30% will never test positive for Lyme. You need a course of antibiotics ASAP. Lyme must be treated quickly, or else it becomes chronic and is much harder to treat. ...Read more

What is the question: I don't see a question here. Also I don't see any information about treatment for Lyme, were you given antibiotics. Lyme disease can manifest with acute and chronic signs and symptoms, you should be treated either by an ID specialist or your primary doctor if its comfortable. Blood work testing for lyme can be confusing but sure helps for accurate diagnosis, make sure they test for others. ...Read more
