My daughter(6 yr old) has had Lyme disease since birth and has been complaining of heart pain, but tests show its normal. What am I to do now?

Secondly, once tx'ed, lyme disease is no longer present. Third, children with c/o heart pain are usually c/o of chest pain which is muscular or lung related. Can you give more info? ...Read more

Lyme disease: If you were treated as you describe for acute lyme disease then it is not likely that your current issues are related to that prior infection. Not always a rash: The classic bullseye rash is not necessary to diagnoses lyme's. If you live in an area with many deer ticks and there is a possibility that one was on your body for more than 24-36 hours, it would be beneficial to go in to clinic to discuss blood testing for lyme's disease. ...Read more

Somatizing?: This is classic. I strongly suspect you are in a difficult life situation and this itself is causing your symptoms. This is the commonest single thing that we see in clinical medicine. The normal sensations of a living body are registering as sickness. If I'm wrong, forgive me -- but these testes would pick up anything serious. I'd urge you to hit the gym hard & build quality friendships. ...Read more
