The palm-side of my hands has a mottled look, like ground beef..With the fingertips being dark red. What can cause this? Lupus? Raynaud's? Vasculitis?
No: Vasculitis of the actual nerve is very very rare. More likely things are nerve swelling ie pseudotumor cerebri, or papilledema. The answer is in the actual findings on opthalmologic tests and patient should be seen both by a rheumatologist and a neuro-opthalmologist. What are the possible side effects/long term issues related to cutaneous lupus? I currently have vasculitis in my legs. What else could be of concern?
