The answer is in the actual findings on opthalmologic tests and patient should be seen both by a rheumatologist and a neuro-opthalmologist. It is always: important to make sure you truly have the cutaneous type and not the systemic type. Simple blood tests may help. Also having a good Rheumatologist to help with the definitive diagnosis would be important. ...Read more

Depends: For raynaud's sometimes we use conservative measures such as keeping warm and medications such as calcium channels. For pain from lupus arthritis, we use medicines such as hydroxychloroquine, methotrexate, Benlysta and others. However; his pain could be other things such as osteoarthritis.
