Much different!: First, your clinical sx are more important than the labs. Drug-induced sle is characterized by single-strand anti-da abs. Markers for possible pss include scl-70 and centromere antibodies. But where you on a drug which commonly caused drug-induced sle. What are your symptoms: fever, joint pain, pleuritis, pericarditis? I was diagnosed with lupus (sle), recently I have been experiecing shooting back pains in my left upper back which worsens during inhalation.

How do you detect pneumonitis in lupus patients? How is it treated? I went to the ER for sob, chest x-ray, echo, CT chest, d-dimer, CBC and bmp and it all came good. I feel i have"air hunger." i also have p.O.T.S. There has been no answer.
Lupus pneumonitis: Pneumoniitis isvinflammation with in the lung itself . It is not uncommon in lupus patients. It can be caused by auto immune basis and also by viruses , bacteria and fungi either by themselves or in conjunction with lupus and or from lowered immunity due to meds used in lupus.
