I have recurring flares of rashes, joint pain, muscle aches, debilitating fatigue, dizziness. I have photosensitity and one episode of my WBC at 2.0 years back. My ANA is 6:40. I'm on plaquenil. Why are all my other antibodies neg for lupus?

Maybe SLE maybe not.: Diagnosis of rheumatologic disease is generally based on symptoms with support from lab. Sounds like you have a rheumatologic disease and are being treated with a rheumatologic agent perhaps by a rheumatologist. They can explain your particular situation better, but suffice it to say tests are not always right and a single test does not generally make or break a diagnosis.

Consult with MD: It is worth pursuing the workup. Lupus and RA are not the only diagnoses to consider. There are other collagen vascular disorders which could cause your symptoms.

Joint pain, muscle pain, facial rashes, tremors, itchy rashes after sun exposure, fatigue. Saw rheumatologist, all lupus tests negative+ blood normal?

See details: I am not sure what you are asking. You need to discuss the situation with your rheumatologist. There are patients with lupus who do not have positive blood tests. There are also other explanations for your symptoms. Lupus remains an uncommon diagnosis in males so you may want to look for another explanation.

I have a blotchy, not itchy rash, covering most of my body. I also have been having a good bit of joint pain. What should I do?

Need eval: This can't be diagnosed with the information that is available. A history, physical examination & other studies may be needed to determine cause/causes. Once accurately assessed a treatment plan can be developed.

Can a throat viral infection cause muscle pain, flashing joint pain, a rash, tingling feet, burning sensation, itchy skin. Happens on and off.

Yes: But it's not an orthopedic condition. May be an auto-immune response, your body reacting inappropriately to the virus. See your medical doctor and tell hip it's important!

When I drink alcohol get burning sensation in upper right abdomen. LFT and abdominal ultrasound normal. Joint pain and red itchy rash. Anxiety?

When I drink alcohol get burning sensation in upper right abdomen. LFT and abdominal ultrasound normal. Joint pain and red itchy rash. Anxiety?

Acid reflux: Alcohol stimulates acid production n the stomach and slows down the movement of the esophagus and stomach. Your problem is thus more likely from acid reflux which cannot be picked up with ultrasound. Can't tell what may be causing your rash or joint pain and suggest that you consult your doctor.

Is their any other tests to get diagnosis for my case after positive ANA test, leukocytosis, sever joint pain and itchy skin patches?

Positive ana: There are many other tests that can help confirm a diagnosis. Additional blood tests to determine the exact antibody that is causing the positive ANA should be done. A skin biopsy may be indicated. It is possible that your doctor has already arrived at a diagnosis from your constellation of symptoms.

Positive ANA 1:640speckled 1:80speckled strong family history of lupus and RA I get rashes joint pain sob fatigue fevers no diagnosis yet have to do pft why?

CTD & Lungs: With clinical features of lupus/ra, family history of lupus/ra, & blood tests indicating an underlying rheumatological disorder, most likely ra/lupus or another auto-immune disease process is present. Pft is one way of evaluating unexplained sob. Both RA & lupus can cause various forms of pulmonary disease which is another indication for the pft. Breath deep and as hard as you can!

Son suffers from anxiety severe sunburn and blistery rashes from sun canker soars fatigue joint pain and now leg itching resulting in rash. Lupus?

Son suffers from anxiety severe sunburn and blistery rashes from sun canker soars fatigue joint pain and now leg itching resulting in rash. Lupus?

Need more history: In that the above information is insufficient to make a specific diagnosis. How much sun exposure? Is son fair or olive skin? One joint or multiple? Injury or none? Appearance of rash, possible contact or exposure, history of eczema, etc. If chronic and feeling fatigued, start with a physical by your doctor and blood tests may be helpful.

Positive ANA twice speckled pattern negative ENA strong family history of lupus mom aunt cousin. Grandmother had RA have joint pain fatigue rashes sob?

Please see rheum: Please see a rheumatologist as soon as possible for a proper diagnosis. People with a strong family history of rheumatologic disease are more likely to develop it. Speckled pattern ANA can be found in systemic lupus and in other connective tissue diseases. This needs an evaluation as soon as possible.

I'm complement deficient. What does this mean? Low C3 and c4. joint pain, low back pain, rashes, anisocoria, low tsh, fatigue etc and it's not lupus

I'm complement deficient. What does this mean? Low C3 and c4. joint pain, low back pain, rashes, anisocoria, low tsh, fatigue etc and it's not lupus

Likely secondary: You probably has an autoimmune condition which is consuming the complements thus accounting for the low levels. Have you seen a rheumatologist? If so, you need to rush to find one.

My cousin has had a rash vascular problems and joint pain for two months. Could this be lupus? And what should she do

Maybe: There are several possible explanations for these symptoms. The easiest thing is to see a doctor and have blood tests done for lupus as well as being evaluated for other possible causes.
