I have recurring flares of rashes, joint pain, muscle aches, debilitating fatigue, dizziness. I have photosensitity and one episode of my WBC at 2.0 years back. My ANA is 6:40. I'm on plaquenil. Why are all my other antibodies neg for lupus?

SLE : Confusion and dizziness are common symptoms with many causes. When they occur during every lupus flair the SLE is the most likely cause. These symptoms can also be caused by steroids used to treat SLE flairs as well as other medications. You did not say how often your flairs occur or how long they last. Lots of treatment: It would be good if your treatment providers could become a team. It may still be a fantasy, but one to work towards. My first signs of a lupus flare is always dizziness with fatigue. My brain MRI was normal. Why do you think I am getting dizzy spells during flares?

Dizziness in lupus may be related to vasculitis, anti phospholipid anti bodies with clots, anti bodies to component of inner ears called immune mediated inner ear disease .
