My ANA was negative. Is it possible to still have RA, Lupus, or Fibromyalgia?Lyrica (pregabalin) is NOT helping the leg/arm/hand/foot pain. CRP is 6.5.

Yes due to FALSE NEG: Every test in the world has a FALSE NEGATIVE rate which tells what percentage of the time a test comes out negative but really it should say positive. Dr suspects disc herniation bc I have bad pain&numbness in my back, arms,&both legs.Lately my hands/bottom of feet hurt to.could it be RA instead?

Less likely: While it is not impossible for RA to affect large joints like the back/spine, it is much more likely to affect the smaller joints such as in the fingers. However, in order for there to be a disc herniation affecting both your arms and legs it would have to be quite high up, in your upper back or neck. Testing, including CT/MRI imaging, and blood tests are needed. Work with your doctor to diagnose. ...Read more

Why do bottom of my feet hurt after i get up in the morning or sitting?

Why do bottom of my feet hurt after i get up in the morning or sitting?

Multiple things...: You will need a physical exam to be sure. However, it sounds like you may have plantar fasciitis which is inflammation or iiritation of your plantar fascia. After sitting for a while or after a long sleep, this gets tighter, so it hurts more when you first get up. Get assessed, but until then, put a golf ball in the freezer and when it is hurting, massage bottom of foot with it unless neuropathic. ...Read more

The bottem of my feet hurt with sharp pains and feel swollen but are not, and really hurts to walk nothing else?

Replacement insoles: Take the insoles out of your shoes and replace them with ones that have more cushioning and support. I like spenco products. The one i recommend most is the spenco polysorb cross-trainer insole. This will give you cushioning at heel strike and help decrease the impact on your feet. It may not have an "immediate" effect though. See an podiatrist if symptoms persist. ...Read more

The top of my feet hurt constantly. More in the am and after sitting. could this be plantar fascitis? No pain in the bottom & no pain in heel.

Dorsal Arch Pain.: Plantar fasciitis, by definition, is inflammation of the fascia located on the bottom of the foot. The symptoms, interestingly, are very similar to the ones you describe. More than likely, your pain is being caused, in part, by an increased amount of stress being applied to your feet secondary to your pregnancy. The best solution is to have a specialist evaluate and suggest the best way to treat. ...Read more
