Have uterine polyp and 2 ovarian cysts causing severe pain and irregular hevy bleeding and spotting can this be from polyp?
Dysfunctional bleed: Dysfunctional bleeding is a medical term referring to abnormal bleeding that is caused by hormonal imbalances. So it can't be a cause of miscarriage. But hormonal imbalances can cause both dysfunctional bleeding and miscarriage. It's best to seek evaluation to figure out what's going on. ...Read more
Mom with menopause had periods of heavy bleeding due to which she is put on hrt. endo biopsy negative. Are these episodes of heavy bleeding normal?
No, not really: Heavy post menopausal bleeding is never normal, as it can be a sign of uterine cancer. She's had a negative endometrial biopsy though. She might have benign uterine fibroids (uterine nodules) or polyps. They can cause bleeding. Hopefully she's had a CT scan or pelvic ultrasound scan. If the med treatments don't work, then she could consider a hysterectomy or a uterine ablation procedure. ...Read more
Missed last period, on day 18 of this cycle with heavy bleeding and big clotting. Transvaginal ultrasound shows endometrial lining of 21. Cancer?
Not necessarily: Uterine cancer cannot be diagnosed by ultrasound. You would need a biopsy to determine that. The lining is probably thick because you missed your period, and it accumulated, but you could easily have a benign endometrial polyp as well. Either way, it sounds like you need a further work up. Remember, the odds are in favor of a benign diagnosis. ...Read more

Whats the chances of me having ovarian cancer or endometrial cancer.. Pelvic pain & abnormal spotting on and off. 19, black, overweight, pcos?
Remote: You symptoms are very unlikely to be due to cancer. Hormonal imbalance is the likely explanation. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
