See md asap: Assuming you mean vaginal bleeding, see gyn, to make sure you don't have a potentially serious uterine or ovarian problem (including cancer). If you mean rectal bleeding, see GI doc to check for colorectal issues, including inflammation, polyps, cancer. I suffer from lupus, I frequently get bleeding stomach ulcers prednisone isn't affective what else might help.
See rheumatologist: The bleeding ulcer is not the usual presentation for lupus. In fact, prednisone may worsen it. You need to talk to your rheumatologist to make sure that the medications you are taking are not causing the ulcer and then a GI consult may be in order since this may have nothing to do with your lupus. ...Read more

No: Blood in the stool is not a normal occurrence but not related to lupus. If it is fresh blood with wiping after a bowel movement, then hemorrhoids can be suspected as the cause. However, if stools are dark and tar colored, then a bleed from "further upstream" in the GI tract is likely. Constipation my also cause some minor bleeding from straining. Cause of miscarriage: Most miscarriages are caused by genetic abnormalities in the fetus and are unavoidable. In your case, it is possible that the bicornuate uterus may have caused it, though many women with this abnormality can carry a pregnancy to term.
