See ortho: I presume you are already under the care of a rheumatologist. If you cannot get an answer from him, either get a 2nd opinion or consult an orthopedist. Having autoimmune disorders does not preclude you from getting the usually bone issues. ...Read more

Who feels fluid?: Do you mean you feel his head and neck and you feel something like fluid and swelling, or he feels like there is fluid inside his head? Lupus can cause a lot of funny symptoms--his doctor can suggest something to help. If he has actual swelling, he needs to be checked. ...Read more

Lymph node: I'm sorry he isn't feeling well.The lump is most likely an inflamed lymph node. Lymph nodes get bigger and tender when fighting off an infection. The infection may be close by (scalp may have lice or ringworm, a local skin infection, for example). Once the infection clears, the lymph node should also subside. If it doesn't, another reason will have to be investigated. Best to go see his doctor! ...Read more
