See dermatologist: Doubt it's either lupus or dermatomyositis since a persistent hand rash (on back of hands only, not on knuckles) is not a presenting symptom. Would recommend seeing a dermatologist. It may be a benign rash requiring no treatment but could indicate an early sign of some other health problem. If the dermatologist decides to do a biopsy, this is often the best way to figure out what is causing the rash. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Other conditions like raynaud phenomenon or autonomic nervous system dysfunction or neuropathy can cause this presentation. Consider checking your sugar and vitamin B12 levels. Please check with your physicians for proper diagnosis and treatment. I hope you feel well soon. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Highly unlikely.: The amount of telangiectasias in connective tissue disease such as scleroderma is usually significant and is located on more than just a dorsal hand. The fact that you have 3 small dots (which may or may not be telang) indicate this is a highly unlikely possibility. Continue to follow with your rheumatologist at your regular visits. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
