I have horizontal ridges on my finger nails and i'm being tested for lupus. Is that a sign of an autoimmune disease?
Probably not.: I've never seen lupus cause horizontal nail ridges, although i suppose it's possible. Certain medications can do it, as can diabetes and certain systemic diseases. Yes, perfectly safe: The only vitamins that can be toxic are Vitamins A, D, E and B6. One has to take massive doses of A, D & E to become toxic. One should avoid more than 250 mg a day of B6 but the combined amount in your vits is likely well below that.
