Dr suspects infected saliva glands and have antibiotics, have chest and back pain also. Lungs are clear. Could this relate to suspected lupus?
Maybe: There are any number of things that can bring on a flare up of lupus. It's doubtful the lupus caused the infection but the infection could have caused a flare-up which is causing your chest & back pain. Antibiotics...: Make sure you take antibiotic treatment for that. I assume you most likely have been seen and possibly prescribe something already. It is not uncommon for people that suffer of immunosuppressive conditions like lupus to be infected with pseudomonas. Make sure you finish treatment as prescribe and if no signs of improvement in 2-3 days after tx started follow up with your doctor. ...Read more
