Lupron (leuprolide) shot and side effects?

Lupron (leuprolide) shot and side effects?

Hot Flashes: By far, the most common side effect is hot flashes, because Lupron (leuprolide) causes a temporary menopause. Poor sleep resulting in emotional side effects or head ache are also common. 1 or 3 months: Lupron (leuprolide) comes in 1 or 3 month doses (3.75 or 11.25 mg) and these injections usually cause menopause symptoms which i've seen as both mild or severe. It rarely continues beyond the treatment period & is a good way to pre-treat or reverse endometriosis or to shrink fibroid tumors prior to surgery. Help. Don't want to use lupron/depovera b4 fibroid surgery , coz of bad side effects it has & besides , it doesn't work for everyone. How can I shrink fi?

Shrinking: It is my opinion that it is not a good idea to try to shrink the fibroids before surgery unless they are up to your chest. Why? Because when you shrink them they become harder to remove. The surgery is harder and i think using these medications for the purpose is generally a bad idea. But that is just my opinion. I recommend you get other opinions in your area. ...Read more
