Endometriosis: First, has your doctor treated all visible disease at each laparoscopy - or used it mainly for diagnosis? If the latter, you might benefit from seeing a specialist surgeon. If 'yes, ' has your doctor helped you rule out other possible causes of pain (besides endometriosis?) bladder or intestinal disease? A pain management specialist may also be able to help. Best wishes! ...Read more
My son had an allergic reaction (severe rash & hives) to a supprelin implant. Is it likely he will react to lupron-depot too?
Maybe...but unsure.: Supprelin la (histrelin) is a Histrelin Acetate implant; whereas Lupron depot is a Leuprolide Acetate suspension. Obviously there is worthwhile concern on your part about this alternative therapy for central precocious puberty in that both medications act to suppress development of puberty artificially. Regardless, the best source of information on this matter is your son's endocrinologist. Contact her today. ...Read more
Lupron (leuprolide) depot not covered by ins.. Pharmacy will not accept medication discount from drug company. Any lower cost alternatives for tx of endometriosis?
Endo: First off, i wouldn't give up so easily. Call the pharmaceutical company and ask for help obtaining your prescription from a different pharmacy. But if that fails, there are other less effective options: Depo-Provera provera, (medroxyprogesterone) continuous low dose birth control pills, and danocrine. And, i've seen people get pain relief from acupuncture! also an herbal supplement called "pine bark extract" may help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

When considering the use of lupron (leuprolide) depot 11.25 3 month injection for precious puberty, would you ever use that dose every 28 days instead? Why/why not
Consult your doctor: For precocious puberty, the 11.25 mg Lupron (leuprolide) every 3 months is sufficient 90-95% of the time. If her breasts are getting bigger or she continues to grow too rapidly, your daughter's ped endo might consider giving the Lupron (leuprolide) every 2 months but it is usually not necessary to give it more often as it is designed to be released slowly enough to last 3 months ...Read more

Does green coffee extract really work? I started taking some after gaining 10 lbs in one month after taking depot lupron (leuprolide)
Weight gain on Lupro: Unfortunately a commonly seen side effect of Lupron (leuprolide) is weight gain (mimics menopause). I doubt that green coffee extract will help you lose weight, but it won't hurt. You have to increase your excersize daily, and reduce food intake while on the medication. It will take some time to lose weigh once you stop lupron (leuprolide). ...Read more

Soon: Generally if you took a monthly shot, your period should return about 1-2 months after the last shot. However that is assuming your periods were regular to begin with and nothing in your body changed while on lupron (leuprolide). Otherwise your period should revert back to normal. ...Read more

A common associated pain is from the inguinal region and is often associated with endo. Surgery to correct this relieves pain in more than 80%. There are other potential causes of pain that should be evaluated. Seek pelvic pain/endo specialist for more help. ...Read more
Terrible: Hate the drug. It has bad side effects and very few indications in my opinion. If it's given for endometriosis or pain, there are other treatments. The most effective treatment of endo is surgical excision. This can cure the disease but there are few providers capable of this procedure. Recurrent pain after surgery needs to be addressed but Lupron (leuprolide) is not the answer. Ther are a few indication. ...Read more
