Sure of diagnosis?: If your doctor is sure of the diagnosis, it may just take time. Bronchitis typically doesn't show up on chest x-ray. If you use birth control pills or have other risk factors for clotting, ask your doctor to do a d-dimer to screen you for a blood clot in your lung (pulmonary embolism).
