Additional PFTs: On your report there should be an interpretation of the findings. Since you were treated with antibiotics and had a chest radiograph, the physicians may have been concerned that you had pneumonia. After an illness, the airway may be prone to constrict. Dr. can check chest: Cannot tell what is causing the pain without an exam. Could be from ribs and joints. Could be a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) due to an air leak from the inside of the lung through the covering of the lung, out into the space between the lung and the ribs. The site of the leak has some damage, which will heal later. But the leak may also continue, with leaked air filling the chest cavity... bad! ...Read more
