Have it worked up: I would imagine that the MD who ordered the CT is going to follow up with you regarding this find and coughing up black is not normal either. Have you been in area that has tuberculosis? Others symptoms. I advise you to make appointment with the doctor to ask some questions and have a follow up. ...Read more

Need evaluation/Test: The lung nodules may be related to kidney cancer. The best way to find out is to see if they have increased in size over the last 18 months. This can be done with a repeat Chest X-ray or CT scan(same test which showed the nodules first time should be repeated and compared to the original Test). See your doctor: The nodules could be anything from scar tissue due to prior infections, rheumatoid nodules. To cancer. You should ask your doctor about these. Pleurisy: It sounds to me like you have pleuritic pain.Any irritation to the pleura- which is the lining outside the lung would cause such kind of pain. That could be caused by different things including inflammation, infection ( viral/bacterial) , autoimmune disease, etc. With the lung nodules and now with pleuritic pain- definitely i would advise you to go back to see your pmd- for further eval ...Read more
