Dr found a lung nodule and i cough up little black specks of a tar like substance for the past 6 months.. have a cough but goes away with allergy pill?
Have it worked up: I would imagine that the MD who ordered the CT is going to follow up with you regarding this find and coughing up black is not normal either. Dx 18 mos ago w/ kidney cancer w/2 nodules in lungs. Asymptomatic since. Coughing in the morning now.Could this be the cancer showing itself?
Need evaluation/Test: The lung nodules may be related to kidney cancer. The best way to find out is to see if they have increased in size over the last 18 months. This can be done with a repeat Chest X-ray or CT scan(same test which showed the nodules first time should be repeated and compared to the original Test). Pleurisy: It sounds to me like you have pleuritic pain.Any irritation to the pleura- which is the lining outside the lung would cause such kind of pain.
