Like back pain: There may be no pain with lung cancer at all, which is why diagnosis can be delayed. If there is pain, it may be where a rib, or chest structures are invaded or with spread to bone. With those situations the pain is at or near that site. Pain is individualized, graded from 1-10 and is variable. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Pain in upper right back. Slight cough for 2 months. 2 xrays and bloods. All fine. Highly anxious now. Could I have lung cancer. ?
Stop worrying: I can't promise you don't have a tiny lung cancer. You're a never-smoker, you're young, you have a "slight cough" (been checked for cough-variant asthma?), and most back pain never gets a hard diagnosis. Fretting about one of the least likely diagnoses is doing you no good. If you recognize this as unrealistic, your physician can help you address cancer phobia. Work with ur dr to find real causes. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
chronic spasm in upper back , neck, tension or whatever..but diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010 with same issue can this be that again?
NEED MORE INFORMATIO: May be or may be not. Depends on the diagnosis of cause of spasm in 2010. How was the spasm in 2010 resolved? What did the doctor say in 2010 as the cause of spasm? Any x-ray done in 2010 or now? Any injury in 2010 or now? What is the status of lung cancer now -any surgery, any metastases. Where is the exact location of lung cancer - right or left, upper, middle or lower fields? ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hey. I am 18 years old. Smoker since 2 years back. I want to stop, but its hard with all the pressure from my friends. Can i develope lung cancer?
Yes!: If you continue to smoke your risk of developing lung cancer proportionately increases, the risk becomes nearly 100% depending upon how long you live and continue to smoke. Quitting now will greatly reduce your risk for developing lung cancer and improve your lung function. Bad mistakes from peers should not encourage you to do the same. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm 16 and have random pain in my upper back (lungs), could it be a sign of lung cancer? I have never smoked. Also, it's a pretty stressful time.
I've had a gastric sleeve in less than a year and and at the same being treated for lung cancer and started putting the weight back on what do I do?
Don't worry : Your lung cancer treatment is top priority. Try not to worry about your weight. You need good nutrition and enough calories to get through treatment. And some of your medications may be causing your weight gain. Love yourself during this hard time, and know that we oncologists prefer patients to be hefty rather than gaunt during treatment! good luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Been having a dull ache for a while in the right side of my back around the middle, no other symptoms an pain is bearable. Could this be lung cancer?
Unlikely. : Although lung cancer can occur in young people, it would be unlikely and even less likely in a non- smoker. The type of pain you describe sounds more musculoskeletal in nature, perhaps related to exercise, lifting, etc. Although lung cancer can present with back pain, that would indicate a more advanced form of the disease. However, if the pain persists, discuss having an X-ray with your physician ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
29 yr old w/ 6-7 pack years smoking (quit 1month ago). Had mild but persistent 1-sided chest sensation 1 month (feels more like internal tickle/itch than pain). No other symptoms. Lung cancer likely?
Not likely: but if you want to make sure, you should go see a doctor. More importantly, you may want to stop smoking. That will be a good step to reduce your chance of getting lung cancer in the future. Who wants to be worried about lung cancer every time there is a chest sensation? You are only 29 years old. You have lots of years left to worry. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Deoxygenated blood enters the lungs from the right side of the heart and travels to the lungs. When you inspire, oxygen flows into the lungs, transverses the capilliares and attaches to hemoglobin down a gradient. At the same time, co2 diffuses into the capilaries and is expelled with exhalation. Oxygen rich blood then flows to the left side of the heart and into the ...Read more
