Unpredictable: Lungs may fail with shortness of breath and blue skin. Right side of heart may fail with shortness of breath and fluid overload. Bain metastasis may cause headache or coma. Hard to say/depends.: At this stage of lung cancer, the options are limited as is survival. If treatment is done , it's usually chemotherapy and radiation and/or surgery after adjuvant chemotherapy. There are certainly trials out there and i would recommend talking to your doctor before starting any, but the chance for success is likely limited, as the 5 year survival of stage IV is <5%, but it doesn't hurt to try. ...Read more

Ask your doctor: Lung cancer usually shortens the life of the patient. If as you say the cancer is spreading and you've moved to an unproven clinical trial regimen, it depends on the effectiveness of the drugs and your health. Response is variable. Possibilities...: There are many possible disorders that could have these test results. You should have pulmonary function tests since a ct scan does not tell anything about the function of the pulmonary system; only that the lungs look ok. Musculoskeletal disorders can have test results as you describe. You likely need to see a lung specialist to do a work-up and find out why your pulse ox is low. ...Read more
