Depends on the exam: There are multiple problems with different treatments that could cause this problem. You need to see a doctor to have the area examined.

What to do if I have breast and armpit lump and pain?

What to do if I have breast and armpit lump and pain?

Exam and mammogram: Hello, if you have a new breast lump, it needs to be evaluated by your primary doctor and you may need a mammogram or ultrasound for evaluation. If it is truly a new hard lump it needs to be biopsied, but pain by itself may not be anything worrisome. Some cancers cause pain, others don't, so pain is not a very reliable symptom.

What does a cancer-related armpit lump feel like?

Like a lump: I am not trying to be funny but often you cannot tell malignant vs. Non-malignant masses. Inflammed nodes are sometimes tender but don't depend on that. If you have palpable masses under the armpit, have 'em checked. Best to you.

Lumps and bumps: I don't know whether you should be worried, but would definitely want this examined by a physician and a tentative diagnosis established. If it looks at all suspicious they might suggest a needle biopsy. Good luck and have a great baby.

Lymphoma unlikely: It is not feasible to say what it is, without examining you. However, if it has been there for 4 years and no other lumps have appeared, it is highly unlikely to be lymphoma. You should consult a doctor any way.

Painless armpit lump that has blood when Isqueezed it a little. (thecolor like skin just a little darker)I am worried, could this be anything serious?

See doc: Although this may just be from an inflamed hair follicle, it is best that you get this checked out if it has failed to heal after 2 wks have passed.

Palpable armpit lump 10 days now. Started painful and red. Doesn't hurt now but still there. Healthy otherwise. Cancer?

Palpable armpit lump 10 days now. Started painful and red. Doesn't hurt now but still there. Healthy otherwise. Cancer?

Local infection: It is common for a hair follicle to get infected here. Cancers do not start this abruptly and they do not start painful or red like infections do. An infected hair follicle leaves a lump of healing tissue over several weeks.

Can starting a new birth control medication cause a armpit lump?

That should not: Be causing a lump in the armpit. An armpit lump can be an enlarged lymph node, a cyst or an inflamed hair follicle (possibly from shaving). Have it checked by your doctor to be sure of the diagnosis and treatment. If it's painful or red, you can apply warm compresses until it can be seen.

Could an armpit lump under the skin be a clogged sweat gland? I've had it for 2+ months.

Could an armpit lump under the skin be a clogged sweat gland? I've had it for 2+ months.

Yes, & other things: Armpit (axilla) lump under the skin could be a clogged sweat gland; also could be a lymph node enlarged due to infection in area that it drains, such as any part of the upper extremity down to the fingernail; of course those nodes also drain the breast and chest wall in the area, which could be from infection or cancer. Lymphoma would be also very serious. If it's two months, time to see your pcp.

Under armpit lump and chills what checkup should I do without making it obvious to my mom that I think I might have cancer. Do I have cancer? I'm 18

Less Likely: I think you should speak to your MOm right away and let her know what is happening to you. There are many other causes of a swollen lymph node in the arm pit (axilla) including and infection that needs treatment with an antibiotic. The less likely cause is a "cancer". Please see your doctor right away and also speak to your Mom.

Armpit lump pain, family history of breast cancer. Can it be seen or biopsied?

Armpit lump pain, family history of breast cancer. Can it be seen or biopsied?

Yes, it can: A lump under the armpit should be evaluated. A ultrasound can look at the shape and size of the lymph nodes. A needle biopsy can be performed to make a diagnosis. Contact a breast surgery specialist or go to a breast center for evaluation and risk assessment.

Woke up with sudden armpit lump. Very small beneath skin. Pain to touch. No redness. A bit raised skin. I scratched abit. No family history of cancer. Cause?

Folliculitis: This sound like it could be inflammation of hair follicle or other small irritation. Watch it and if still present after month or one menstrual cycle have it looked at. Sounds benign at this juncture but hard to say for certain without examining it.

Why might I have severe pain all over my body, along with lumps under the armpits?

Systemic Process: Could be infectious, autoimmune like Lupus, Rheumatoid, another process associated with other medical conditions. You need to be seen and evaluated. Expect blood work, and possible Imaging Studies (X-Ray, CT, MRI) after a thorough History and Physical.
