Although there are multiple possibilities, one of the more likely findings you are describing is lymphadenopathy, in which the lymph nodes are abnormally seollen often related to an infectious or inflammatory process. Do not ignore: Most likely infection and not cancer. However, could be lymphoma. Also, there are higher rates of throat/tonsil cancer with neck lymph nodes in younger people (even nonsmokers) due to HPV infection. However, remember this is most likely an infection.
