Lump Under Left Armpit
Lump under left armpit, firm and moveable although feels attached. Had it since I was around 13 and is painless but if I keep touching it gets painful?
It could be...: If it has been there for so many years possibilities are: lipoma( fat benign mass), lymph node that has stayed enlarged, sebaceous cyst just to mention a few common ones. All these are not malignant. However you should get it checked in order to have a final diagnosis and if it needs removal. See your doctor for follow up on this. ...Read more

I have a lump under left armpit, dr thinks it's only a cyst i go for test tomorrow, it's painful could this be cancer some say cancer doesn't hurt?
You are right: Cancer commonly is a painless bump/lump. But some tumors can be tender. Breast cancer, of course can spread to the lymph nodes of the armpit and produce a firm, painless lump there. That is what you need to be sure about. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Hi all, i noticed a lump under my left armpit about a week ago. It was small at first but has now grown to about 2-3cm and realy painful.
Abcess.: Sounds like you have a small abcess. Pain may be relieved by incision although it is by no means necessary. May use hot compresses several times a day until this "points" and ruptures on its own. The fact that pain is bad indicates that may be soon. It is remotely possible that this is a lymph node that has been very stimulated. Same treatment. See someone if not improving. ...Read more
Breast tissue/glnd : In that location the most common lump would be an enlarged lymph gland. One rare possibility would be stray breast tissue. If you draw a semicircle from the armpit thru the nl breast location along the mid belly to the groin on the same side, you have the line where accessory nipples(usually duds) may be found. I had one mom that had an accessory breast tissue in both pits arise after delivery. ...Read more
I've found a small pea sized lump under my left armpit, that is painless and is moveable. Also my glands are also always swollen like big hard lumps.
Seen a Doctor lately: If your lymph glands are enlarged and growing bigger, you need to have them checked by your physician.
