Lump Top Testicle
Had u/s for lump top of right testicle on epididymis. The nurse preforming it said no bloodflow in bump. TC or cyst? Seems connected to head of epid.
Lump testicle: Hello ~ please NEVER use abbreviations. I have no idea what TC means. If it's a solid tumor, it would be in the testicle and has a very HIGH chance of being cancer (a seminoma, teratoma etc. If its in the CORD, and the epididymis is the CORD there is about ZERO chance of being cancer and MOST likely is an epididymal cyst. You leave it. But make SURE of the location. CORD or TESTIS. Big difference. ...Read more

Got u/s done and nurse said no bloodflow in lump on top of right testicle on epididymis most likely cyst or something else? Is no bloodflow good?
In this case yes.: US is used to help determine if a mass is a cancer or something less concerning. Cancer begins initially when cells stop communicating with their neighbors and start to grow faster than the rest. Before developing into a cancer the growing mass must be able to recruit blood vessels otherwise it cannot progress. Regular, smooth shape, freely mobile are all good signs if present. ...Read more

Watch and wait:
What you described does not seem to be a cause for concern. You may watch and wait. If the lump doubles in size, becomes irregular, shape or color, bleeds, or ulcerates, see a doctor.
For good health — Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Spermatocele?: You are likely describing something called a spermatocele. This is a cyst at the head of the epididymis containing sperm. Unless they are causing symptoms they are left alone. They do not interfere with fertility. Cancer will be a hard area felt on the testicle. Best to see a physician to be sure it's a spermatocele. ...Read more
I have a lump on the top of my right testicle. It's been there for ~13 years with no pain or discomfort. Could this be cancer? What should I do?
Probably not BUT!: Why wait so long? Get it examined by your urologist.! By description, it is most likely not a cancerous process. This will depend on your age, and other factors. You may be describing a cyst on the cord, or in the epididymus or a benign structure. It can be simply anatomic confusion. My best advice is to get it checked. Why take the chance. You may need an ultrasound test to help confirm. ...Read more
