Lot of possibilities: If it is hard it could be a slow growing boney growth called a torus. If is it soft it could be swelling from a tooth abcess. There are a number of other possibilities so you really want to get it checked out. ...Read more

Get checked out BUT: Not unusual to find hard little bumps on the hard palate....They are usually benign, have been there for years, even since birth, and are benign.....However, since i can't see them....And apparently, neither can you....Would be best to have a doctor or dentist take a look see just to be sure....Especially if you smoke cigarettes, chew tobacco, and things like that....Good luck. ...Read more

I had all 4 of my erupted wisdom teeth out in nov. 2011. I now have a small tender lump in the soft palate of my mouth. Could this be a fragment?

Not likely.: A lump in the soft palate a year and a half after your extractions is not likely to have any association with that previous surgery. You should have that evaluated by either an oral surgeon or ENT (otolaryngologist). They will probably ask you if the area might have been traumatized (burned, etc) just before it's appearance and how it is behaving (getting better or worse). Don't ignore it. ...Read more
