Lump On Vagina While Pregnant
Probably not herpes: Herpes doesn't cause things like this. Herpes lesions are superficial -- blisters, pimples, and sores that are sort of like "on" the skin. Boils, typical acne, etc well up from below; think of them as starting "in" the skin. This isn't a hard and fast rule, but a single large boil is never herpes. But see a doctor if you remain concerned and/or at risk for STDs. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Vaginal supos. Progesterone od? 2000 mg per day for 2 days, before only 1100 mg over the 7 weeks of pregnancy, is new bump in vagina, edema? Serious?
Doubt it: If there is a new bump/mass you should have your doctor examine it, but highly unlikely a discrete mass is caused by Progesterone suppositories. Edema is diffuse and would not mostly be felt as a mass. In 20 years i've not seen this from Progesterone suppositories, but alternatives include intravaginal Crinone (progesterone gel) gel and intramuscular shots of Progesterone in oil. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

7 weeks prgnant, egg donation, took too much progesterone. Told: 400 mg 3x day. Took 400, 1200 then 400 mg. Bump in vagina is baby ok?
Absolutely: Thanks for the additional information. The extra Progesterone absolutely has not harmed your pregnancy. I'm still skeptical the 'bump' has anything to do with progesterone, but I have no concerns at all about having caused any harm. You should get that bump looked at, but don't have any reservation about continuing your Progesterone as instructed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Simple vs serious: Our bodies always have things that grow and change. Skin, fat, muscle, lymph nodes, bones, can change shape, get larger, more prominent due to many factors. The vast majority are not cancer but simply unusual growths like fatty tumors, cysts, skin tags, moles, etc. Most cause no symptoms and can be watched. If they cause symptoms or change colors, bleed, bruise or hurt, then see your doctor. ...Read more
A Bartholin's Cyst: It is very ikely that you have a barthoin's cyst--it is typically not an infection but can be caused by infection which blocks the gland/duct, thus collection of fluid (swelling) to cause the "bump." this can be size of a pea up size of an egg. Simple incision may do the job, but if infected, antibiotic is needed and cyst may need to be excised. Consult your doc. Good luck. ...Read more
Get it looked at: We can guess what it might be, but it is best for you to know what it is. This means that you have to get it looked at and get a pelvic exam. Symptoms like these deserve a full evaluation in person by your health care provider. The fact that you are having pain indicates that it needs evaluated. Good luck and i hope it is something simple and benign like a simple cyst. ...Read more
