Can my subungual melanoma spread to the bottom of my foot I have a new small brown lump on bottom of foot looks like a small mole wasn't there before?

Yes it can: The answer is yes it can. It can spread to other areas of your body. But also, it is possible to be a second primary (a second melanoma that is not a spread from the 1st melanoma). In any case, you should talk to your md/ dermatologist about this -have it checked and treated -asap.

Itch and lump: Itching followed by the appearance of a lump suggests an allergic reaction (angioedema) or an insect bite. These should not be very tender to the touch, however. See your Physician or a podiatrist if symptoms persist.

Many possibilities: Most important you need to know its benign, hence a biopsy is likely in order, unless its obvious to the treating physician what it is.

I have a small hard lump on the bottom of my foot near the arch. My big toe is numb on the inside of the same foot. Is this related? Should I worry?

I have a small hard lump on the bottom of my foot near the arch. My big toe is numb on the inside of the same foot. Is this related? Should I worry?

Might be related: The lump could be a fibroma. This can possibly pinch a nerve branch leading to the numbness. Have your foot evaluated by a local physician

I have had a lump on the bottom of big toe on right foot for 5 days. It swollen, red and burning pain, at least at times. I do have RA. I was thin?

How red, how hot.: I guess RA might be a possibility, but my money goes with gout as a better possibility. There could be a cellulitis secondary to overuse, trauma or even foreign body insertion. Clearly, possibilities would be better understood with a evaluation of the area and some simple testing.

Sore ankle and pain on bottom of foot near little toe when I walk. From my heels?

Possibilities: Depends. Is there swelling? May just be a strain/sprain: especially if walking excessively in heels which is not good. If swelling is present and very painful may be a stress fracture. If persistent, see podiatrist.

Should I be concerned about a lump in the bottom of my foot I have a bump on the bottom of my foot that occassionally hurts when I touch it or walk on it

Should I be concerned about a lump in the bottom of my foot I have a bump on the bottom of my foot that occassionally hurts when I touch it or walk on it

Likely Benign: The most common cause of a lump in the arch is a plantar fibroma, a benign tumor of the plantar fascia ligament. It can be treated with steroid injections and ultrasound therapy. If symptoms return, it can be removed but the recovery can be prolonged. Any lump should be evaluated by a medical professional. While most are benign, malignant tumors do occur in the feet as well.

My 10 month old baby's bottom of big toe has what looks like a lump (soft) and is bright red? What could thos be?

My 10 month old baby's bottom of big toe has what looks like a lump (soft) and is bright red? What could thos be?

Toe push off.: It would reasonable to assume that you baby will use his legs to forcibly push his feet against anything his foot can come in contact with. Check to see if this is not happening. Foot or toe pressure against the crib, for example. Could be the beginning of a inflamed toe secondary to pressure.

Any "lump": Should really be checked out by a doctor. What you describe sounds like a cyst of which there are a few different types. Without seeing the actual lesion anyone would just be guessing what it is.

I Have an itchey small lump on the bottom middle of my foot and when I touch it it stings. This is happening in the same area on both feet. Help.

I Have an itchey small lump on the bottom middle of my foot and when I touch it it stings. This is happening in the same area on both feet. Help.

Shoe string theory.: Well, if it was only on one foot, it could be a wart or a foreign body type of reaction. But, since it appears on both feet, in essentially the same location, then there is a possibility of the shoes causing an irritation. Not to deny that you could have developed a wart on both feet at the same time and same location. Even having a foreign body in both feet is not as likely as the shoe theory.

I have what started out as a small lump on the bottom of my foot (it has grown larger). It's not on the arch or the heal. It's painful when walking.

Have it checked: Clearly, anytime a lump develops, that increases in size and pain with ambulation, it needs to be checked out. I recommend surgical excision of any mass that is painful and increasing in size with time. Routinely, the specimen that is excised is sent to the pathology lab.
