Yes: Maybe what opened & drained was a pilonidal abscess near the tailbone. Need to see a doctor. Need proper treatment and examination to be sure abscess is fully drained. Need proper antibiotics. Do not let the infection spread or get worse. ...Read more

Sebaceous cyst?: The small pit you describe makes me think that this is a sebaceous cyst rather than a lipoma. The location however raises the issue of a pilonidal cyst although it is not painful.
