Red lumps under skin of elbows and a few down the back of forearm?

Rheumatoid Arthritis: If these bumps are non-tender. They may be Rheumatoid nodules. Uric Acid deposits from Gout can give similar bumps. The nodules can be tested by a Dermatologist, to find out what they are.

I have a hard lump under the skin above the elbow, have had it four years now but now I'm starting to get sharp pains in my elbow.

This needs a hands-: -on exam. Start with Ur PCP & get referred if needed. Not a usual place 4 a lyump node unless close 2 the elbow in the epichondylar area. Pain is not associated with them either. Could B an infected cyst, but that's just a guess U do need 2 B C-n.

Possible cyst: These are always difficult, even when seen in person. Cysts, lipoma (little fatty growths) and rheumatoid nodules can all cause similar little lumps under the skin. Though most are benign, it is worth getting it checked out by your primary doctor or a dermatologist.

Sounds like a. ..: Abscess or boil. It would be wise to see your doctor as you might require an antibiotic if the area is still red, warm, inflamed or tender. Best of luck.

I have a small lump/bump under skin near elbow on outer forearm. Its skin colour, feels softish (i think) and seems to disappear if I press on it hard?

Skin lump: Usually possibilities include a cyst, a lymph node, or a lipoma. However there are many other rarer possibilities. It is prudent to ask your doctor to evaluate the lesion. You should go promptly if the lesion is growing or changing.

What is a hard lump deep in the skin on elbow? Picked at it badly causing scab, a pea sized white fluid filled lump pulled out with the scab, no pain.

Could be a cyst: This sounds like a cyst, but there are many other causes for the "hard lump". You should get is checked out.

Hard little lumps under my skin on both of my arms right before my elbows could it be cancer or swelling?

Hard little lumps under my skin on both of my arms right before my elbows could it be cancer or swelling?

Probably not: Cancer would not be the first thing that I would think of. However you should show these to your friendly dermatologist to find the cause.

Lump under skin upper left arm 4 inches above elbow. Kind of sore. What is this? Similar one by Adam's apple.

Hard to tell....: ... if these are related. They could both be swollen lymph nodes. If they do not resolve within a week you should see your doc.

I have several very tender pea-sized lumps under the skin of my outer thighs and also inside the bend of my elbow. GP said fibromas? Why so painful?

Fibromas: Fibromas are the most common painful skin tumor. They are benign. Usually removal of these is not necessary. If they continue to be particularly bothersome, I would obtain a consult with a dermatologist to be sure of the diagnosis.

Found a firm mobile pea-sized lump under skin near elbow on left forearm. Now found one near elbow on upper arm, and one 1/2 way up back right bicep.

Mass: You will need to follow up with your family physician to evaluate. There could also be need a need for a General Surgery referral for biopsy of the pea size masses. But because you are giving me limited information (I do not know the consistency or shape or color), it is best that you follow up with a physician so they can do the necessary tests and visual assessment.

I have a painful lump under skin on bicep/ elbow. Hard lump not visible to the eye. Sends pain down arm?

I have a painful lump under skin on bicep/ elbow. Hard lump not visible to the eye. Sends pain down arm?

Varies: There are a number of possibilities; from an enlarged lymph node, to a growth of a tumor or an infectious process among other possibilities. If it is red, painful, enlarging you should probably be seen immediately. If it is not, you could potentially moniter it and if it does not resolve over 4 weeks be seen. It is hard to say more without a direct examination.

Pea size hard lump under skins surface. Attached to the tissue or muscle? Doesn't hurt at all. Located at where my elbow is but on the inside part. Moves around when I rub it. Extremely scared!!

Lymph node: Lymph nodes are found throughout the body. The most common ones that can be felt are both in the front and back of the neck, under the armpits and in the groin. One can also find them around the elbows. Any scratch, bite, or infection can make a particular lymph node draining that area, swell. If they continue to grow and persist over six weeks, they need to be evaluated by a physician.
