Hernia: I suspect you have a hernia. The alternatives could include a number of different tumors most benign that come to mind initially . Yes: If it has been there for 4 years and is not growing, it is most likely a lipoma (benign fatty tumor) or a sebaceous cyst. Either can be removed surgically if it is bothering you. ...Read more

Large abdominal mass: Thats a pretty large mass - it might be attached to the right ovary but grown into the left side of your abdomen - causing pressure on other structures including the ureters and or left ovary. Lump: Difficult to tell you what it is without a physical exam. It could be a sebaceous cyst, tiny abdominal wall hernia, tiny lipoma, aberrent lymph node..... I've had a lump on the left side of my lower abdomen which is not visible when I'm lying down. It hurt particularly after a large meal.

I can feel a strong pulse on left side abdomen with a small lump. Occasionaly there is a sharp pain. Only notice this after I gave birth 11 months ago?

You may need to make: sure that you are not pregnant with another child first. Are you having steady regular menstrual periods? If so, then your "lump" may need further evaluation with Xrays and such. I would do pregnancy tests if you have not had periods, then see your healthcare provider for further help.
