Lump In Underarm Pit
I have had a nickel size lump on my rt underarm pit since i was 17 (31 now) . It is asymptomatic, but i want it removed. What type of md do I see?
My spouse has a painless, small lump in his armpit. He had one before in the other pit but it went away. Any ideas what it could be? He has an appt.

I would not put: it past your period to cause all kinds of weird symptoms. However any change in your menstrual symptoms warrants a pregnancy test and recheck in 1-2 weeks. If they are both negative, and you do not feel morning sickness, then watch to see if the axillary (aka fancy term for armpit) pain would go away spontaneously. Breastfeeding 3 month old. 30 lbs overweight. Felt arm pit side and noticed very glandular tissue, almost like tiny fat lobules on side of armpit into my armpit. Doesn't feel like one lump but rather all kind of soft/lumpy there.Is this fat tissue?
I have hemihypertrophy on my right leg. One lump on knee two on right side of leg. Searing pain in calf plus pitting edema in ankle. Is this urgent?
Could be serious.: Hemihypertrophy can mean a difference in length of the leg as well as girth of the leg. If you have suddenly noticed a difference in girth with searing calf pain and pitting edema, you need to go to the ER immediately because of the possibility of a blood clot. Lymph node vx. infxn: There are lymph nodes in the armpits which can be felt as little lumps - sometimes we can feel them even if there is nothing wrong. Also possible to get ingrown hair, infected follicle or boil in the armpit if red/tender. Lymph nodes : The lumps under your armpit are most likely lymph nodes. They could be enlarged due to infection or other causes or you could just be feeling them naturally. Lymph nodes could be normal or worrisome. If they are new, seem bigger than normal, hurt when you touch them or any concern on your part then see a doctor for evaluation.
