Have it checked. : Any lump or mass that is getting bigger like this warrants an in-person evaluation. Hard to diagnose based on description alone. Might be a benign cyst or lipoma, but would need to see it to know for sure. ...Read more

Very : Very difficult to answer this without a picture. Depends what it looks like, how long it has been there, your risk factors, the characteristics of the lesion such as size, shape, firmness, color, etc...I would recommend you have this evaluated. The most common skin cancer is a basal cell carcinoma but melanoma is the type of skin cancer that can spread internally so you should get any changing or suspicious lesion evaluated by your primary care doctor or a dermatologist. ...Read more

Probably: The lump is probably a cyst or lipoma. Neither are of concern unless they remain painful or there is growth. If either, you should see a surgeon about removal which can most likely be done under local anesthesia. ...Read more
