I am feeling sore I had a c section 33 days ago and I feel like there are 2 lumps to be exact on my lower abdomen right above my incision is it normal?
Had an ultra sound lower abdomen just below c -section scar and results came back stating the lump I felt was fat. Could this become cancerous?
No: There are tumors (sarcomas) which are cancers of connective tissue (which is type of tissue, along with fat, that's under your scar). Lumps under cesraean section scars are usually scars that can take years to dissolve and go away. The chances of this lump under your cesarean become cancer is very very very close to zero. Doctor can inject with steroids if causing you pain, but time will heal. ...Read more
Loss of muscle tone: During a c-section, the long muscles of the abdominal wall are cut by incision. By cutting the muscles, nerves to the muscles can be damaged leading to atrophy of the muscles. Repair of the incision involves sutures. The surgical repair of the incisions can only approximated 80-90% of the original strength of the original tissues. Thus over time the wall may bulge or herniate. ...Read more

Revision: When undergoing a c-section, the priority is not to make a good skin closure, but to present you with a healthy baby. Frequently I see c-section scars that have not had all the layers of the abdomen repaired, sometimes even with the scar stuck to the outer covering of the muscle. Any good plastic surgeon is able to revise your scar and restore the proper layers. ...Read more

Doctor performed a c-section and a tubal now my right side has a lump and it hurts bad. What could this be?
I've had a C-section and I heard the scar stops you from being able to get a flat stomach again. Is this true?
Nope.: A "postpartum potbelly" is usually the result of laxity of the abdominal wall and separation of the rectus abdominus muscles after pregnancy and childbirth. The treatment is an abdominoplasty, in which the muscles are repositioned in the midline and excess skin and fat is removed. This should only be undertaken when you are finished having children. The scar has nothing to do with it. ...Read more

After surgery..: It is perfectly normal to have some soreness and that pulling sensation weeks after surgery due to the tissue healing process.
