A cold: You likely have a cold and the lymph node enlargement was an immune response to the viral insult. Since the node is getting smaller, I think it will be normal again in a couple of weeks. Sinus: The maxillary sinus is located near your nose. If the pain is coming from there, then it might be a sinus infection. You could be coming down with a cold or have a bad tooth. See your dentist.: It's usually minor swelling; but this can be a big deal. If it's improving (even slowly) that's great: let it heal. Not to scare you, but I saw a patient today who had developed cancer in that gland. Signs for concern are swelling, pain, bleeding or odd sensation especially on only one side.
