Benign need Photo: Hi YRuiz, Neck and shoulder pain are probably not related to your new finding in the trap muscle. It might be helpful to have someone take a picture of the lump. Furnucle, lipoma are two benign conditions that might be there. Over the counter med like naprosyn or ibuprofen with food may help the overall neck and shoulder pain. Time to see your Dr: I'm trying to follow what you are saying, but one thing is clear. Something is not right. Many of the symptoms you describe may occur from hormonal or vitamin issues, but they also could be signs of a more serious problem. Ask to be scheduled for a comprehensive physical and some lab work. Good luck.See 2 more doctor answers
I feel there's a lump in the right side of my throat no pain while swallowing. Lump sensation hurts when I take a deep breath and right shoulder pain?
Hard to say: Would need more info and exam. If it has been fairly recent swollen nodes can cause similar symptoms and are often associated with a viral or bacterial infection. A good medical checkup would probably be a good place to start.See 1 more doctor answer

I have this bump on my cervical spine that I've never had and just recently discover it a week ago after I experienced really bad right shoulder pain?
I would assume-: -that you just felt around after U had shoulder pain & found a lymph node or bump that was always there. Not related 2 shoulder pain.
Sit up straight.: The most common, poor posture, head forward, rounded shoulders. Sleeping with too many pillows will cause pain. Common activities of daily living like driving a lot, long periods of sitting (computer work), telephone work, etc. There are physical diseases that might lead to pain, if there were an actual growth, or gallbladder disease, but these are rarer. See a doc, finish this talk there.
See your Orthopod!: Get properly investigated and diagnosed so that appropriate treatment could be started, to get rid of the problem. Hence see your orthopod.
I'd the cause: You must find the cause! Is it something you are doing. Is it a medical problem eg arthritis of the cevical spine. Once you know the the cause you can better treat it.
See below: Neck pain commonly refers to the shoulder. Initially resting the neck/shoulder, using moist heat, and taking a short course of anti-inflammatory can help. Once the pain is better you will want to gradually increase your range of motion. If your pain lasts greater than 2 weeks see your physician as there may be other treatment options including therapy and injections.See 1 more doctor answer
Try simple things: I would try tylenol (acetaminophen) and anti-inflammatory medications (eg ibuprofen, aleve, etc) as well as modalities (e.g. Ice and heat). I would try heat first. It might be postural, especially if you sit at a computer/desk all day. Try paying attention to your posture. If it does not improve in 1-2 weeks, see your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
