Small, brown lump on chest area? It seems to be going away, but I'm curious. It's moveable, and not tender.

If it is more like a lump it is likely a different benign growth...a dermatofibroma. It probably represents a fibrous or scar like reaction to minor trauma/insect bites. Flatter brown spots are nevi/moles, and, as you know there are dangerous ones..melanoma skin cancer. If ?'s, have Doc check:) ...Read more
Lump in chest but I'm not sure if its a cyst or not, 2 inches below clavicle.it sometimes disappears a little. I mean its hard to recognize at times. ?
Some possibilities: Could be an enlarged gland, which in turn could be related to infection or cancer; cancerous gland enlargement (in general) tends to grow more slowly and be less painful than infection-related gland enlargement. Could also be a localized fatty tumor, and could be many other things. Best to see MD, and take pics of the lump at times when it looks different; bring pics with you. ...Read more

Too vague a question: It's difficult to answer this without some more information like age, sex, and location of the lump. For example, if you were a 12 year old male with a small lump under your nipple, it would not be worrisome. If you are a 40 year old woman with the same lump, it could be a cancer. The best thing to do is see your primary care physician. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
